About

We built XtremeShare because a private handoff should not need a cloud account

XtremeShare is browser-based peer-to-peer file transfer. Direct, user to user. No account. Optional password. Infinite transfer size — made for video, legal, SaaS security, and finance teams who just need the file to land.

Origin story

The problem we kept hitting

Before XtremeShare, every “quick send” turned into a platform decision. Here is the short version of how that turned into a product.

01 · The friction

Cloud folders were the wrong tool

We kept watching teams dump a one-time video cut, a legal ZIP, or a security review package into Drive or Dropbox — then spend the next hour fighting permissions, leftover folders, and “who still has access?” We needed a handoff, not another shared drive.

02 · The constraint

No account. No size drama.

The people we talked to did not want another login. They wanted to drop files in the browser, copy a link, and move on. Size caps and “upgrade to send this build” kept getting in the way of real work.

03 · The build

Direct transfer in the browser

So we built XtremeShare around browser-based peer-to-peer transfer: the send stays user to user. We do not download your files into a permanent folder we keep. Optional password. Resume if a download pauses. No platform size marketing cap — practical browser and network limits still apply.

How we build

Small team. Clear rules.

We are a small team. That forces focus: ship the transfer, keep the link private, and stay out of the way. If a feature needs an account wall or a permanent cloud folder, it does not ship.

The product rule is simple — your files move for the handoff, not for our archive. We do not download your files into a folder we keep. Optional password on the link. Resume when a download pauses. No sign-up to start.

That is the story we still design against every week: replace the awkward “upload to cloud, share permissions, clean up later” loop with one browser session and one link.
