Features
What you get with XtremeShare
A focused set of capabilities for private browser handoffs — not another cloud drive full of leftover folders.
Start sharing freePeer-to-peer in the browser
XtremeShare uses WebRTC so file chunks can move between the sender’s browser and the receiver’s browser over a data channel.
We provide signaling and room metadata so the browsers can find each other. We do not keep your files as a lasting cloud archive on the live transfer path.
Optional password rooms
Protect a share with a password before you send the link. After three failed attempts, the room expires so brute-force guessing does not keep working forever.
Encrypted chunks + resume
Chunks are encrypted in the browser with AES-GCM before they leave the sender. If the connection drops, resume can continue from saved offsets when the sender is still available.
No account wall
Start without email signup. Drop files, copy the link or QR code, and keep the sender tab open until the receiver finishes.
- No platform file-size marketing cap (practical browser and network limits still apply)
- Multi-file shares in one room
- Works across modern desktop and mobile browsers that support WebRTC
Honest limitations
Both peers need a working network path. Strict NATs may need TURN. The sender must stay available during the transfer. Filenames and sizes are visible as room metadata.
FAQ
- Is this the same as uploading to a cloud folder?
- No. The product is built around a live peer-to-peer handoff, not a permanent shared drive.
- Do I need apps on both phones?
- No dedicated apps. Both sides open a modern browser that supports WebRTC data channels.
